It’s been TEST LINK more than fourteen years since I worked with my very first psychedelic substance – Salvia Divinorum – for therapeutic purposes and, since then, the journey has been long and meandering. As an eternal apprentice of shamanism, my chosen path of spirituality, I started my psychedelic healing journey looking for cultural reference points that may invalidate many of the culture-rooted notions of health and wellbeing in our modern, western world. I just knew that there was more to human health than what medical doctors and pharmaceuticals could offer us.

In 2009 I turned to Huachuma, or San Pedro, the Andean cactus, and did extensive inner work with this powerful medicine for two years before moving onto the ‘mother’ of Latin American psychotropic plants, Ayahuasca, in 2011. The lessons, insight, and personal growth that this amazing healing plant has brought to my life over the years are unquestionable and almost unquantifiable. After somewhere north of 300 ceremonies with this plant, I have come to understand a thing or two when it comes to human health and wellbeing.

Having had a very disturbed, unstable, and challenging childhood, growing up between council estates and other types of social housing, and being surrounded by a deeply socially and emotionally challenged family, Ayahuasca taught me lots about the root of my trauma responses to the world around me, about family ties, relationship dynamics, and personal and emotional freedom. However, I began to feel confused when, instead of being the more calm, collected, and centred version of myself I imagined I’d become after such lessons from the plant, I was becoming cathartically aggressive and violent towards the people who were being shown to be at the root of my traumas and troubles. Primarily my mother. Although Ayahuasca was showing me the root of my issues and following up with lessons in how to actually heal from these issues, I clearly wasn’t achieving the healing that the medicine was showing to be available to me.

In total, it took me the best part of eight years working with Ayahuasca and going through some very significant parallel life experiences and transformations before I actually began to feel like I was achieving the state of being that Ayahuasca had been demonstrating to me for so long; at peace with and accepting of my adverse childhood experiences. And thus, I came to realise something. Or better said, I began to embody what I already knew. That psychedelics alone are not the only answer to our health and wellbeing. We are complex, multi-faceted, multi-layered, and multi-dimensional beings who require a holistic approach to health and wellbeing. There is no one ‘silver bullet’ that has the answers to all of our woes. In the depths of it, the simple phenomenon that is maturation as a human being is the primary catalyst and conductor of the change that we seek and that we may know is available and possible for us. However, what is absolutely and undoubtedly true is that there are a number of healing, coaching, and therapy modalities out there that can greatly help us accelerate such a journey to maturation.

Back when I first began my journey with psychedelic healing, there was really nobody around talking about it. It wasn’t such a big ‘thing’ in society. As such, there really weren’t many complementary modalities that were being focused so specifically on the journey to healing, wholeness, and maturation via the use of psychedelics. And this is why Satori customers have a significant advantage on their journey with psychedelics, with modalities available to them such as:
